The Future Direction Of LRTM Closed Mold Process: Silicone Bag Mold LRTM Process
Silicone Bag Mold LRTM Process
Silicone Bag Mold LRTM process is a molding method that uses injection equipment and accessories installed on vacuum bags or reusable sub-molds to manufacture products using vacuum infusion method
MVP conducts extensive experiments and further develops and packages a wide range of sub-items including injection equipment, patented accessories and skills training to apply to vacuum infusion process. The flexible molding process makes production not only easier to control but also safer, while reducing the loss of raw materials.

The Resin First Flows Into The Resin Channel and Then Soaks Into The Glass Fiber
The silicone bag mold LRTM molding process uses a pneumatically controlled vacuum sensor mounted on the sub-mold. This sensor sends a gas signal to an automatic valve called a three-position control valve. The opening and closing of this valve depends on the pressure of the flow known during vacuum introduction.
The use of these accessories enables an injection machine to inject resin into multiple resin pipelines at the same time, and even to achieve injection at different injection pressures at different locations in the sub-mold or vacuum zone.
When cleaning the machine with acetone or water-based cleaning agents, clean all accessories at the same time.

PPVS Vacuum Sensor
IVX3 Resin Injection Valve
MVP-PAT-INJECTION LRTM Injection Machine

The PPVS vacuum sensor automatically controls the opening and closing of the LRTM injection equipment and IVX3 injection valve by monitoring the vacuum level in the silicone mold, thus achieving full automation of the entire injection process.

IVX3 automatic injection valve controls the injection process by cooperating with PPVS vacuum sensor.
There are three injection options: open injection valve, close injection valve, and clean injection valve.
It can achieve no residual resin in the pipeline, the pipeline injection port can be reused, and the injection process is clean without material waste and residue.

An injection port consists of a PPVS vacuum sensor, an IVX3 injection valve, and a control box. The same LRTM equipment can be used with multiple injection ports for injection.

Similarly, the vacuum infusion process can also use the MVP universal plug-in on the vacuum belt to install the vacuum sensor and the three-position injection valve.

Silicone Bag Molds are a Very Advanced Process to Replace Vacuum Bags. Compared with Vacuum Bags, They have the Following Advantages:
Reusable:
A suitable mold can be reused more than 500 times
Reduce Labor:
No need to lay vacuum bags, bond the periphery and test the sealing every time, no need to monitor the vacuum introduction process every time, because there is equipment for full automatic injection, a lot of labor is reduced
Reduce Solid Waste: B
ecause of its repeatability, it reduces vacuum bags, adhesives, resin tubes and other solid waste
Save Materials:
Reduce resin waste, no need for vacuum bags, resin tubes, sealants, demoulding cloths, guide nets and other materials
The Surface Quality Of The Product is Better Than That Of Vacuum Bags
Of Course, This Process also has its Shortcomings:
1 Only suitable for unsaturated resin matrix
2 Not all products can be used, half of them are products with simple surfaces and small areas
3 Large one-time investment: equipment, profiles, molds
