Overview of Vacuum Guided FRP Chassis Tiling Process
Process Characteristics:
First, lay the reinforcement, i.e., “dry” fabric (without any resin mixed) on the mold, then lay the vacuum auxiliary material (such as demoulding cloth, guide net, vacuum bag), and finally use a vacuum pump to evacuate. Once all the air is extracted from the vacuum bag, the composite material is completely flattened under atmospheric pressure, and the liquid resin (mixed with curing agent) can be drained into the reinforcement through the hose and flow through the entire reinforcement under vacuum. When the resin is completely poured into the reinforcement, cut off (using a pipe clamp) the resin supply, and the rest is the resin curing (still under vacuum).
If the resin infusion process is operated correctly, FRP parts with satisfactory strength and appearance quality can be produced. Compared with the traditional wet hand lay-up process, it avoids excess resin and unstable performance. At the same time, it eliminates pores (dead corners around the reinforcement when laying) and small bubbles in the part. The quality of resin infusion, that is, the strength of the product, is close to that of using prepreg process.

You can also directly make imitation tile texture (not recommended)

This process is more suitable for solving the needs of residential bathroom tiling, and completely solves the problems of special-shaped sizes and FRP after-sales. It does not require the investment of large equipment and is suitable for light asset operation.
